Early sessions for the soundtrack of Kenneth Anger cult movie of the same name. On side A we'd hear the only available recording of The Magick Powerhouse of Oz live at San Francisco's Straight Theater in late 1967 (BeauSoleil, earlier in the same year, also played at the Invisible Circus, a 72-hour environmental community happening which was sponsored by Emmett Grogan And the Diggers).
On side B, we'd hear a completely different version, thanks to The Freedom Orchestra, recorded 10 years later live at Tracy State Prison (using the boxe ring as stage). An alumnus of the Manson circle serving time at Tracy, the talented guitarist Steve Grogan played on this session (also all other musicians of the Orchestra were inmates). legendary recordings, available for the first time ever on vinyl.
