GINA HARLOW AND THE CUTTHROATS
They were icons in the hey-day of punk and new wave, in New York City. Their shows at Max's Kansas City, CBGB's, Trax, Heat, Hurrah's and The Mudd Club were legendary. 'Live On Stage' made it to the list of Billboard magazine's "Recommended LPs" when it debuted in 1978. The LP was recorded in 1978 at NYC's legendary punk/rock club Max's Kansas City. The band consisted of Gina Harlow (bass and vocals), Jesse Davis (Guitar and Vocals) and Nick Fuse on drums and the LP was released with no overdubs, preserving the raw and live sound of a new group in its infancy since this is a recording of their fourth gig. The group was a classic in the punk rock genre. All songs are original and reflect the social climate of the '70s, served up with a.o. political and religious satire.
